At VP Boutique, beauty has always been about more than what's on the surface. It's about resilience, empowerment, and showing up for yourself and your community — even on the hardest days. That's why we created Shine for a Cause: our commitment to raising awareness for the causes closest to our hearts.
These aren't just causes we support — they're part of our story. Our founder Vicki lives with epilepsy and fibromyalgia and has 16 years of sobriety. Our beloved team member Phoenix survived four strokes and lives with epilepsy. Their journeys inspire everything we do.
💜 Epilepsy Awareness
Epilepsy affects 3.4 million Americans, including 470,000 children. It's one of the most common neurological conditions — and one of the most misunderstood. November is Epilepsy Awareness Month.
Seizure First Aid
- Stay calm and time the seizure
- Keep the person safe — move objects away
- Turn them gently on their side if possible
- Never put anything in their mouth
- Call 911 if the seizure lasts more than 5 minutes or it's their first seizure

Every 40 seconds, someone in the United States has a stroke. Nearly 800,000 people experience strokes annually. Women — especially those over 40 — are disproportionately affected. May is Stroke Awareness Month.
